My favorite wine bottle opener. Feb 11, 2010
We open a whole lot of wine. Through the years and travels, we've tried almost all of them. This is my favorite. Has a built-in foil cutter, requires no force (my wife doesn't hesitate to use this opener) and it removes the cork with a simple twist after the cork is out of the bottle. It doesn't work for some fake corks and we have ro revert to screw type devices. Inexpensive and makes a great gift. We give one to all our wine enthusiast friends. The gas charge lasts a good long time.

GOT THE OPENER FOR CHRISTMAS. I OPENED TWO BOTTLES AND THE GAS RAN OUT. CAN'T RETURN IT BECAUSE OF THE HAZORDOUS GAS? HAD TO ORDER MORE CARTRIDGES. I'LL KEEP MY FINGERS CROSSED.IS IT ME OR IS IT IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTACT AMAZON WITH A QUESTION?

I have been continually challenged by opening wine bottles to the point of it being a family joke. I have had this opener for a year now and have loved every use! My only complaint would be that is has some sharp wheels around the bottom meant to assist in cutting the paper around the bottle neck so you can gain access to the cork. This feature has never been very useful to me. I have tried, given up quickly and reached for my kitchen knife which works great for the job. Now I can open wine before my husband gets home from work! Those who can work a regular cork screw seem not to appreciate this product, but I LOVE IT!!!

I purchased this opener and could not get a bottle of wine open with it. I used it completely like the instructions stated, making sure the needle was completely through the cork before engaging the c02. Alas, no luck. It took me more time to get the half ejected corks out of the bottles than it would have if I had just used something different to begin with. I returned it, and will stick with the rabbits.
